May to June

Hey! I’m a bit late writing this month, but I’m here now to let you know what’s been happening in the world of Justine Clark, your friendly, happy and talented pub singer/wedding singer/hotel/club singer! Singing 50’s, 60’s, 70’s 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s, 2010’s music! With over 200 songs to rock and entertain you….have I pushed it enough haha?!

Ok, so May started with The Old Boot in Seaford, a great gig as it always is, singing to happy, fab people who like to rock out! A guy got slightly carried away actually and tried to get on stage to sing with me (being rather inebriated) and had to be shown the door – all good fun!!

Eastbourne WMC was on the 13th and it was a good one as they really liked a lot of 80’s and were dancing all night long!

Happy Jacks Bar was on the 20th and there was a great atmosphere in that little place again! Lots of dancing and frivolity and they especially enjoyed Candy Staton and Whitney!

Obviously, I had my usual weekly residency at The New Wilmington Hotel in Eastbourne where I performed classic songs such as Anyone Who Had A Heart by Cilla Black, Downtown by Petula Clark, Deliliah by Tom Jones, Simply The Best by Tina Turner and lots of guests really enjoyed themselves and sung along!

I did perform at a new hotel in Eastbourne, The York House Hotel, on the 23rd and the guests there really had fun, especially enjoying the quiz I gave them to do in my break and they seem to love me singing Gerry and the Pacemakers, Bobby Darin, Doris Day and John Denver and were also singing along!

I was back at Eastbourne WMC again on the bank holiday Monday in the afternoon and it was pretty busy which was nice to see! Lots of people had a great boozy afternoon with me 🙂

For June I was back at The British Queen in Willingdon on the 3rd, it was someone’s 40th and so there was a good party atmosphere and so I dished up some good party music to go with it! They loved a bit of Bon Jovi/Bruno Mars/Cyndi Lauper and Status Quo!

The Southborough Club in the 16th was another good one, a lot of people came over to see me and it was so nice to be appreciated.

The Martello Beach Club was on the 17th and I hadn’t sung there in a while, it was a great gig and everyone really enjoyed it. I was able to walk around and sit on a few laps which wasn’t minded and they made good use of the dance floor too!

Lastly, The Hailsham Club on the 24th was brill as usual, they really enjoyed a lot of the oldies too, Tammy Whynette, The Shirelles and The Nolans to name a few! Always a nice gig with a nice big stage and dance floor to play with!

So that’s it, another two months gone and I’m so grateful that I’m still performing after 20+ years for people, making them happy and seeing them enjoy themselves to the wonderful music that I’m lucky enough to be able to perform for them 🙂

Thanks and don’t forget, if you know anyone who would like me to sing for them at a party or wedding, don’t hesitate to enquire!

Lots of love, Me, Your local (East Sussex) Vocalist/Singer/Entertainer!
