March & April Music Madness!

So howdy to May and I just noticed that I was pretty busy in March and April singing for lots of nice people!

The first one for March was the hotel, the first gig of the year, when I say the hotel I obviously mean The New Wilmington Hotel in Eastbourne where I regularly sing and entertain. Lovely hotel with a cute bar area and it now feels like my home from home!

I sang at the Royal British Legion in Polegate again on the 4th March and it was pretty busy from memory, I sang a lot of oldies for them like John Denver and Doris Day, Sandie Shaw and Audrey Hepburn – they loved it!

The gig the following weekend was the Royal British Legion once again but this time in Portslade! My most intimate venue and I sang lots of good tunes for them!

A couple more hotel gigs lead me on to The Southborough Club where it was nice and busy there that night as there was a party and I sang a really varied couple of sets for them as the age range was from 12-80!! Good fun was had by all that night!

The last gig of the month was for Lakeside Cafe in Horam which is very near to where I live and it was so great to see some familiar faces there! It was the cafe’s opening night after being refurbished and people were loving the atmosphere! I sang Sweet Child of Mine up on the bar lol – got some good pics on my Facebook site (justineclarkweddingsinger).

I was grateful for a couple of weeks off after that as my voice had been very tired for some odd reason (it happens to the best of us!)

April was back on for the Easter Weekend at the hotel and then it was The Castle in Pevensey Bay on Easter Sunday for an afternoon gig which was a bangin gig! Lots of peeps who just really let their hair down and enjoyed the music with me! Finished with Deliliah – they love a good sing-along and this one was just perfect for them to have a good yell to!! Great gig and venue, back again there on 27th August.

Then there were another three hotel gigs singing the old classics like Gerry and the Pacemakers, Gracie Fields, and the show tunes like Big Spender, Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend, Don’t Cry for Me Argentina and Let’s Face the Music and Dance – I get asked a lot if I perform on the stage and of course my answer is no as I haven’t, but I seem to bring them out for the hotel and it turns me into Shirley Temple lol!!

The Angling Association in Eastbourne last weekend was a really lovely gig with more familiar faces who came back to see me and some young people in too which was nice! I was able to sing a variety of music and they especially loved The Nolans, again, see my Facebook page for a vid of this!

I’m always looking out for gigs in and around East Sussex so if you know of anyone looking to have a party and haven’t thought of entertainment then give them my contact details? I love singing at parties, especially weddings!

Thanks folks and I look forward to more great gigs and music in May and June! 🙂 xxxxxxxxxx
