I am very sad to not be able to perform at the moment, of course like all the other singers and entertainers out there it is what we love to do and it is how we earn our living and it looks like it will be a while yet until the hospitality industry re-opens. So, we need to sit tight and hope that they can produce a vaccine against this horrendous virus that’s ruining so many people’s lives soon – people will really want to let their hair down when everything re-opens!
I had just started working for The Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne in January, an hour’s cabaret spot at 9.30 every Tuesday night and it was going really well. I also had some new venues I was going to be singing for, I managed to do a couple which were The Crowborough Constitutional Club (I hadn’t played their for about 20yrs!) and The Broadwater Working Mens Club in Worthing – these went down a storm and I am looking forward to going back. I had another new venue, The Burgess Hill Constitutional Club booked in for March 20th but of course that had to be cancelled, hopefully I’ll get in there this year maybe!
I did a Valentines gig for The Heathfield and Waldron Rotary Club at Blackstock Farm, Hailsham on February 13th, all very romantic and lovely!
I had gigs booked in for The Southborough WMC, Pett Beach Club and The British Queen in May…the list goes on…
I’m thinking of doing a Facebook Live gig at some point soon…well I need to keep my voice in check don’t I?!
I look forward to getting back out as soon as possible and wish you all the very best of health – stay safe people. x x x
