Well here we are in a new year again and I know that I haven’t posted in months but things have been busy due to me having to get a day job (eeeek!)
I’m still gigging though albeit not as much due mainly to the pandemic, venues are unsure about booking and that’s the reason why I don’t have many gigs for the moment on my gig guide…it will change and improve as 2021 did – I didn’t gig last year at all until June but this year will be better!
I had some great gigs in the second half of last year, I especially enjoy the private gigs that I get, the garden parties, anniversaries, weddings, birthdays…they’re all such fun and people’s response is always so good!
The three Xmas and New Year gigs were great as well:
The British Queen always enjoy themselves with me and I think it was my 4th or even 5th time playing Xmas Eve for them there. I’m sure there are some great videos of me and the bar staff and Angela the landlady dancing to I Wish it could be Xmas Everyday behind the bar and round the pub!
I performed at The York House Hotel in Eastbourne on Boxing Night, we started with a good singalong of Carols and then the guests were dancing and having great fun afterwards with me!
Then on NYE I was so pleased to be back at East Grinstead Ex Service Mens Club again, what a lovely bunch of people they are and they really make me feel so welcome and they were just totally up for saying goodbye to 2021 and welcome in 2022 in style! Dancing and laughter all night long and I couldn’t have wished for a better NYE gig!
So, let’s hope we can all get together again in the near future to enjoy music and I may even buy some new songs for this year (to get to 300?!) – who knows!!
