Here’s to a Happy 2019 one and all!!
January started slow (which was fine by me!) and it wasn’t until the 19th that I was at Seaford Royal British Legion. It was a good night and people were dancing all night. They loved Candi Staton, Status Quo and Diana Ross. They joined in with These Boots Are Made for Walking and Manfred Man’s Doo Wah Diddy – I went out into the audience and did a bit some drama and got people involved to their joy (or possibly not haha!)
January 26th I was back at The Ex Service Mens Club in East Grinstead. Love the stage there and the people too! They loved dancing to Jermaine Stewart and Rocking all over the World, Don’t Leave Me This Way and Baby Love. There aren’t many venues that I can sing Bon Jovi and Que Sera Sera all in the one set!! They wanted two encores – a good night!
Into February and Polegate RBL on the 2nd – It was a different gig to usual because they put me nearer the bar, off the stage (which is miles away from the bar area where they all sit!) It was much better, more intimate and weirdly they danced behind me on the dancefloor! Everyone had a great time and it was better being nearer the audience (even if some of them were behind me!) I did three sets comprising of Walking Back to Happiness and Que Sera, Fleetwood Mac, Tina Turner, Bryan Adams and my new Nina Simone Feeling Good was debuted too which was a success!
Saturday 9th February – Hassocks RBL – It was a rainy night but a lot of peeps came out and danced all night too!
Valentines Night – Dinner for Heathfield and Waldron Rotary Club – A lovely gig and we were thoroughly spoilt too with a meal and heart shaped homemade biscuits and I was even given a red rose 🙂 They loved the evening and got into the romantic songs especially Nat King Cole’s When I Fall in Love and Shania Twain’s You’re Still The One. Looking forward to gigging for them again in May!
February 16th and I was singing for a lovely couple who married Nr Hastings. It was such a beautiful night and a lot of love was in the air for sure! There was loads of dancing especially to Uptown Funk, Heaven and Jump! And their Nina Simone song went down a storm. A happy, love-filled night!
February 23rd and I was at Happy Jacks Bar at Langney Sports Club. It was a really good gig as always, they’re always so nice and really enjoy what I do. I gave them a choice of songs for the third set which consisted of Keane, Bon Jovi, Four Non Blondes and Deliliah which they all joined in with of course!
So that was the start of the year, the hotel begins this week again (New Wilmington, Eastbourne) so that will keep me busy mid-week! I have this Saturday night off which will be nice and a couple of gigs to actually GO to next week (Emrace and KT Tunstall) which I am so looking forward to!
My New Years Eve gig decided that they couldn’t really afford me so the big news is – I AM NOW AVAILABLE THIS NEW YEAR’S EVE!! If anyone would like to have me (and can afford me!) I would love to come and entertain you on such a special night – message me!
I am still a very experienced top class wedding singer for the South and East Sussex, I am available for pubs and clubs and no venue is too small!
If you would like any recordings of any of the songs I perform this is also possible as we have a top quality recording system here at home so you can email me to arrange – I love recording!
Thank you and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possibly once again this year. xxxxxxxxxx
