Hi!! March started off with – snow! And on the 2nd I was able to stand in for another entertainer at The New Wilmington Hotel in Eastbourne who couldn’t get through it (and it felt good to save the day haha!)
The 3rd I was at Happy Jacks Bar at Langney Sports Club and it was a brill gig! Michelle had a birthday and she loved Whitney and Take That and there lots of cool moves to Blame it on the Boogie! Valerie I sang at the end for a lovely lady (her name wasn’t Valerie though!) They asked me yesterday to gig this Saturday but I’m already booked 🙁
The New Wilmington again on the 6th was such a good gig, lovely people who danced and enjoyed themselves (and gave me lots of compliments luv em!!)
Then there was THE BUG!! Yes, we all get ill and I did BIGTIME for the next two weeks! Cancelled gigs for Eastbourne TUC and The New Wilmington and another Club too 🙁 All too horrible for me to relive it but lets just say – I hope I never get that again!!
My next gig was on March 24th at The British Queen, Willingdon and what a brill gig it was even though I was still suffering a bit! People travelled out to see me from Eastbourne which was so nice and it was busy with loads of dancing to The Nolans, Love is in the Air (one of my faves!) and The Bee Gees! So proud I managed to do the gig and it was so worth it! I also took a gig from Councillor Freeman for Music in the Park in Willingdon in June which is gonna be fun – love outdoor festival-type gigs!
I did another hotel gig on the 28th which was good as usual and then on the 31st I went to The Royal British Legion in Hassocks, a new one for me and straight away I thought they were really friendly and welcoming! By the end of the gig I thought they were just lovely peeps! They were dancing practically all night and really had fun! Big age range of 40-80! And they booked me again on the night and also asked about New Years Eve (which I must sort!)
Bank holiday Monday April 2nd I was at The Hailsham Club in the afternoon. It was busy and they danced a lot (working off all their Easter Eggs!) They like their country music and enjoyed Something Inside So Strong as their slowie. A Really good gig in the rain that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits at all!
Then there was another lovely one at the New Wilmington on the 4th (again haha!)
On the 7th I did another new venue called Lion House Park in Hailsham and what a successful gig it was! I actually had a paying audience too 😉 Around 50 people all paid £6 to see me sing – awesome haha! People loved what I did and boy did they enjoy themselves! They loved to dance – even the 90yr olds!! They were up to Michael Jackson and the Communardes – I wasn’t expecting that lol! They also liked Puppet on a String, Que Sera and These Boots are Made for Walking! Lovely people who really knew how to enjoy life and I also had two private party enquiries 🙂
I then had a well deserved couple of weeks off where I actually went to see a fabulous singer called Beth Hart at the De La Warr, she played The Royal Albert Hall a couple of weeks ago which I would’ve loved to have gone to as well…brilliant gig and it was nice for me to be entertained for a change!!
Then I had a quick New Wilmington gig on the 20th before I jetted off to Tenerife to have a week in the sun with my family…bliss!!
I have new songs to learn so I need to get on with it! Cake by the Ocean is new and has been going down great for the last couple of gigs – love it!
Ok, that’s me, your fave South East singer (right?!) If you need a female singer then contact me! If you’re getting married and need an entertainer to suit all age groups then call me!
Thanks for listening and let’s keep rocking! xxxxxxxxxxx
